Oboist Andrew Nogal is experienced in both mainstream classical performance and the interpretation of avant-garde contemporary repertoire. He has performed with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, the Oregon Symphony, and "The President's Own" U.S. Marine Band. As a member of Ensemble Dal Niente, he was awarded the coveted Kranichstein Prize at the 2012 Darmstadt New Music Courses. He has appeared at the Lucerne, Ojai, and Astoria Festivals. 

Mr. Nogal studied at Northwestern University, where his primary teachers were Grover Schiltz, Michael Henoch, and Ray Still. He currently teaches at Loyola University Chicago and the University of Chicago.
